Alissa Whitney is Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Silicon Publishing, which she founded with Max Dunn in 2000. For more than 26 years, she has helped shape the company’s technology, products, and technical direction while remaining closely involved in hands-on development. Her work combines software engineering, product development, and a deep understanding of Adobe technologies to solve complex publishing and creative automation challenges.
Throughout her career at Silicon Publishing, Alissa has contributed to the development and evolution of the company’s core products, including Paginator, Designer, and Connector. She previously led development of Connector while also contributing directly to its codebase, and she was instrumental in bringing Adobe’s Embed SDK into Designer. She also developed Silicon Publishing’s first Adobe Express plugin for Box and has extensive experience scripting and integrating with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro.
Today, Alissa’s work is focused heavily on Adobe Firefly Services and the rapidly evolving role of generative AI in creative and publishing workflows. She continues to explore and implement new Adobe technologies, helping Silicon Publishing translate emerging capabilities into practical solutions for its customers.
